Degree Plans

Below are the degree plan options for our students that are interested in the obtaining college credit within their field of interest. Should a student not pick a specific degree plan, we will follow the basic requirements for an Associate of Arts from LSC-K.

Note: All courses are subject to availability at the college.

All students take 10 class periods.
5 on Monday and Wednesday which is A day, and 5 on Tuesday and Thursday which is B day.

9th Grade-Freshmen

1st period	English 1 Honors
2nd period	Biology Honors
3rd period	Alg 1 Honors + Math Lab or Geometry Honors (if Alg 1 credit was earned in MS)
4th period	(Fall) MAPS/EDUC 1300 (Spring College class @IECHS)
5th period	(Fall) PE - Individual Sports/ PHED 1164 (Spring College class @IECHS)
6th/7th period	Advisory (2 periods - have every day- A & B)
Periods 8 - 10 will depend on classes needed	Spanish 1 On Level or Spanish 2 Honors (if not completed in MS) Learning Lab (Study Hall) Health / PFL (Personal Financial Literacy) In Geometry & Not passed Math TSI - Math Lab for TSI Not passed Reading TSI - Reading 1 for TSI MAYBE: WHAP - AP World History - (strong reader, ALL TSI passed, space in class - it is for 10th grade) If you are interested - you MAY be able to take one of the classes below. Options (if they fit): Yearbook 1 (all year), Debate 1 or Mexican American Studies (spring only)

10th Grade-Sophomores

1st period	English 2 Honors

3rd period	Algebra 2 Honors
4th period	World History (On Level or AP)
5th period	College Readiness
6th/7th period	Advisory (2 periods - have every day - A & B)
8th period	College Fine Art / College Speech
Periods 9 - 10 will depend on classes needed	Spanish 2 Honors (if not completed in MS or 9th) Learning Lab (Study Hall) Not passed Math TSI - CP Math for TSI Not passed Reading TSI - Reading 2 for TSI (No further college class can be taken until Reading TSI is passed) Health / PFL (Personal Financial Literacy) - If not completed in 9th If you are interested - you MAY be able to take one of the classes below. 11th Grade-Juniors

**You must have passed Reading TSI to take college classes

2nd period	^^College Science Classes (in Fall and Spring)
3rd period	^^College Math Classes (must have passed Math TSI)
4th period	**College HIST 1301 (Fall) / HIST 1302 (Spring) <THESE COUNT FOR HS US Hist Credit>
5th period	**College Social-Behavioral Science (Fall) / ACT SAT Prep (Spring)
6th/7th period	Advisory (2 periods - have every day - A & B)
Periods 8 - 10 will depend on classes needed	**College Electives / Health or PFL (if still needed) HS Physics - looks good on transcript for colleges Learning Lab (Study Hall) Not passed Math TSI - CP Math for TSI If you are interested - you MAY be able to take one of the classes below. 12th Grade-Seniors

1st period	HUMA 1301(.5) or ENGL 2323(1) <These count for HS Eng 4 credit> If you choose HUMA, we pair with College Speech credit.
2nd period	College Science Class - Fall and Spring (only if doing AS - Associates of Science)
	College Math - Only if needed
3rd period	College GOVT 2305 / GOVT 2306 <GOVT 2305 counts for HS US Govt Credit>
4th period	College Transition (Fall Only) / College Elective if needed
5th/6th period	Advisory (2 periods - have every day - A & B)
7th period	Economics - HS Requirement taken in Fall or Spring
